What is the PTO?
- The PTO is a parent led organization that supports the students, teachers and staff at Central Elementary school. We meet throughout the year to plan events and fundraisers. We fundraise to support activities and events held throughout the year. Every child benefits from these events which is why we encourage all parents, grandparents, etc. to be actively involved in the PTO.
Why should I fundraise?
-The PTO encourages fundraising in order to support a variety of activities and educational programs for the students at Central Elementary. Membership fees, fundraising and/or donations are the only source of income for the PTO. The PTO uses these funds to fully sponsor multiple events throughout the year, provide every student with an annual yearbook and financially offset some of the cost of school field trips, school assemblies and kindergarten on boarding. Some of the PTO sponsored events include Fun to be a Kid Day, Reading Night, the annual Veteran’s Lunch, Dr. Seuss Day, Teacher Appreciation Week and the annual Ice Cream Social.
